Welcome to Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC. By choosing to use our services, you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions. If you find any part of these terms disagreeable, we kindly ask that you refrain from using our services.

1. Description of Services
Salty Dog K9 Training is a professional dog training service provider located in Harrison TWP, MI. We offer services based on the specific needs of your Dog(s). This includes individual dog training sessions, home manners training, and group training sessions. Our goal is to assist you and your dog to build a healthy and happy relationship based on mutual understanding and respect. Trainer agrees to provide lessons for Client and Dog(s) on a lesson-by-lesson basis, the goal being to teach Client how to train and work the Dog(s). These lessons will take place at Client’s home and/or public place. Trainers will make every reasonable effort to help Client achieve training and behavior modification goals but makes no guarantee of Dog’s performance or behavior as Client is responsible for continued training efforts outside of training sessions. Client understands that he/she and members of the household must follow Trainer’s instructions without modification, work with dog daily as recommended, and constantly reinforce training being given to Dog(s). Trainer agrees to provide lessons for the Dog multiple times a day during boarding, the goal being to teach the Dog agreed upon commands and proper home etiquette. These lessons will take place in the Trainers’ home as well as public place if agreed on.

2. Client Responsibilities
As a valued client of Salty Dog K9 Training, we expect you to:

Provide accurate and honest information about your dog's behavior, health, and any relevant history.

Follow the training instructions and recommendations provided by our professional trainers.

Actively participate in training sessions with your dog to foster a strong bond and ensure effective learning.

Treat our trainers, staff, and other clients with respect and courtesy.

Ensure the safety and well-being of your dog and others during training sessions.

Practice the training exercises with your dog between lessons to reinforce learning.

Provide the necessary training tools as advised by our trainers.

Understand and accept all risks associated with your dog's behavior.

3. Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment: The fees for our services are available on our website and will be communicated to you prior to the training event. Full payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept cash and credit/debit cards.
Cancellation: If you need to reschedule or cancel a training session, please provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so may result in a forfeited session.
 

4. Service Guarantee and Refund Policy

We would like to emphasize that the success of our training program is heavily dependent on the client's commitment and efforts outside of the training sessions. Training is a collaborative process, and the results are largely influenced by the client's dedication to practicing and reinforcing the skills and techniques taught during the sessions.

Due to this, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or success. Each individual's progress can vary based on numerous factors, many of which are outside of our control. Therefore, we do not offer refunds based on the perceived success or failure of the training.
 

5. Assumption of Risk and Liability

You acknowledge that dog training involves certain inherent risks. You assume all risks associated with the training process and agree to hold Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC, its trainers, and staff harmless from any damages, injuries, or losses that may occur during or as a result of training.

You are solely responsible for your dog's behavior and actions outside of training sessions. Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses caused by your dog(s).
 

6. Confidentiality
We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all information shared during the training process, except as required by law or with your express consent.
 

7. Intellectual Property
All training materials, handouts, and resources provided to you during the training process are the intellectual property of Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC. You are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without our prior written consent.

8. Photography and Media Use

Client grants permission to Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC to use photos and recordings taken during training sessions on our website and social media accounts, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter). Client understands they will not receive any monetary compensation from Salty Dog K9 Training, LLC for the permissions granted herein and hereby waives any right of inspection or approval of the photos or recordings prior to use.
 

9. Termination Rights
We reserve the right to terminate our services at any time if we determine that your dog's behavior poses a risk to our trainers, staff, or other clients. We may also terminate our services if you fail to comply with these terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Michigan. Any disputes arising out of these terms or the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Michigan.
